1. Manage multiple profiles (also true in TweetDeck)
2. Schedule tweets (big shortcoming of TweetDeck that you can’t do this)
3. Shorten links & track statistics (TweetDeck offers bit.ly but I prefer [...]

So here's your Solutions!

* Create a Facebook Fan Page

o Facebook has made some big changes in the last six months which make it an extremely powerful marketing vehicle. One of these changes has been the evolution of Fan Pages.
o To create a Fan Page, (it's quite hidden!) scroll to the very bottom of any Facebook page and click "Advertising", then click "Pages" at the very top, then "Create a Page."
o But here's the real trick with Facebook Fan Pages. The Google Juice is all in the title! Create a title that's keyword-rich and watch your Google ranking soar!

* Low-tech Captions and Titles on your YouTube videos

o (with props to Perry Belcher for this Solution)
o You all know that video is the #1 best way to promote yourself and your product, get google ranking, bond your customers to you, yadda yadda yadda. Right? So why aren't you doing it?? One reason might be that you don't know how to drive traffic with your videos.
o The simple answer is - You tell them in the video to go visit your blog/website/sales page, whatever. "Yeah, but Julia, don't I want the website URL on the screen too? So they can see it the whole time, and not have to wait until I say it at the end. And I don't want to mess around with a video editor, creating captions, every time I want to do a video."
o Solution: Shoot your video standing in front of a white board, with the website URL written on it!! I just LOVE the brilliant simplicity of this one.
o Does it look amateurish? Only slightly. But content is way more important than video quality in Web 2.0, and being "real" can actually increase your conversions. And besides, at least you're organized enough to find a white board, hang it at the right height, and then not stand in front of what you've written the whole time! (You do know not to stand in front of what you've written, right? I don't have to actually tell you that?)

* Online data storage

o We all know how important it is to back up our data. There's the "external hard drive method," which requires you to actually remember to do the backup; plus doesn't do you any good if your office is physically damaged and both your computer and your backup drive are compromised. That's where online backup comes in.
o There are many services, including Carbonite, SugarSync Mozy and a few others.
o I personally prefer SugarSync because I have two computers - one for home and one that I travel with. SugarSync not only backs them both up, but keeps them in sync. Now I never have to worry about which computer has the most recent version of a file - SugarSync keeps it all in order!

One last parting thought. In PC World's April edition, they did their annual review of "10 Web Sites That will matter in 2009." Three were video sites, three were social media sites. Kids, if you're not doing video, and you're not using social media to get your (video) message out there, you're missing the boat. The world's a-changing ..... FAST.

That's it for now - feel free to email me if you get in a bind. If my team and I can't help you, I probably know someone who can!
