There are two Gmail Labs features I couldn’t do without:

Undo Send  — does just what it says.  Gives you about 5 seconds to realize you clicked “send” prematurely, or notice it went with the wrong subject line or whatever.

Send & Archive — sends your message & then automatically archives the conversation, rather than “traditional” gmail that requires you to click a second time to archive.  I’m all about slivering time out of the mundane tasks of my day.

Both of them are in the “labs” feature.  Just click the little green beaker-looking thing in the upper right hand corner of your gmail screen, then go read through the list of available features.  when you find then, simply click the radio button for “enable.”  That’s it!  Hello, increased productivity!
